Happy Monday morning! Some thoughts this morning..I love to stay healthy with exercise, but I often get bored with doing the same thing over and over so I like to change it up every so often. My love of running has come back into my routine, but to avoid injury I started to do yoga on my days off and I love it!! It’s helped with relieving stress on the body and increasing flexibility. It has been a match made in heaven:-) Recently on YouTube I have found ‘yoga for runners.’ It focuses on those areas specific people who run or are athletic. Along with staying healthy, it prevents injuries! Not only will stretching help to prevent injuries for future runs, but it can help prevent on-the-job injuries for nurses😉 So it’s a win-win for me. What kind of exercise do you do?
UPDATE: Well with the updated research I found and spiritual implications such as they are for this practice I have chosen that it is not for me. It does not honor The Lord by doing it and I can do stretching without doing Yoga. Be warned Yoga is great physically, but does NOT mix with Christianity! It is Hinduism. The religions cannot be mixed. “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to one and despise the other.,” Matthew 6:24. (This verse is not just for money)
I like to hike and swim. In the winter I lift weights at the gym. Sometimes I am more motivated to exercise than other times. lol! 🙂
